I gave Jette this word problem at breakfast. She’s about half finished with it.
Maybe you want to play along at home and see if you get the same answer? If so, this handy volume to weight chart for common baking ingredients might be useful.

Excellent!!! Perfect real world problem to which we can all relate.

Jette completed the “Imperial Measures” math workbook her school gave us and she is almost done with the “Metric Measures” one too. She really seems to like math that involves measurements, I’m assuming because it is tangible and somewhat less abstract. I thought that a multi-level, real-world(ish) problem (I pulled the numbers out of a hat so I hope they “add up”) involving imperial volume and weight would be good. Cupcakes and baking is also a compelling subject!
